JOB SUMMARY: Oversees the daily operations of the general accounting department to ensure timely and accurate financial information for our distribution centers around the country.   This position will focus on Payroll and the Master Data for our inventories at the various distribution centers. 



1. Coordinates and assists in the completion of period closing activities, journal entries, reconciliation schedules, and analysis to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness and to provide management with accurate and professional information. (30%)

2. Supervises the daily functions and activities of the accounting department to ensure that standards for accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness are met. (25%)

3. Schedules, coordinates, and directs the workload of accounting staff to ensure that assignments are completed in accordance with established company policies and deadlines. (15%)

4. Updates various periodic or quarterly financial and operational reports for use by GSF corporate and local division. (10%)

5. Trains and develops accounting staff to ensure and maintain the required level of professional competence. (10%)

6. Assists in the coordination of the quarterly physical inventory process, researches variances, and assists in resolution of variances. (5%)

7. Participates in the annual budget process. (5%)

8. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Cost Accounting from an accredited college or university.


3 to 6 years of relevant work experience, including supervision, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,
General Ledger systems, planning, and budgeting.
