Quality Custom Distribution (QCD), a national leader in foodservice logistics, is hiring an experienced Inventory Control Clerk to support our Schertz, Texas distribution center. If you're detail-oriented, skilled with inventory systems, and have experience operating a stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack, we want to hear from you!

💼 Job Summary

As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records in our system (JDE), coordinating inbound delivery schedules, and updating product pricing. This is a key logistics support role that ensures our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Schertz, TX 78154

  • Full-time, on-site at QCD’s Distribution Center

Schedule & Pay

  • Shift: Sunday–Wednesday (4/10 schedule)

  • Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

  • Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour

  • Weekly pay + benefits

 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor all delivery appointments and inbound loads

  • Maintain inventory accuracy in slot locations, quantities, and pricing in JDE

  • Generate and distribute delivery reports and backhaul sheets

  • Communicate with vendors to ensure timely purchase order processing

  • Track item cost changes and update internal pricing

  • Input change orders and non-standard orders into the system

  • Maintain accurate vendor and pricing documentation

  • Operate material handling equipment (forklift and pallet jack) as needed

  • Work in temperature-controlled environments (coolers and freezers)

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Post-high school education (up to 18 months from a vocational/technical school or junior college)

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations

  • 2+ years of stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack experience

Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, data entry)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and solve problems

  • Comfortable working in cold storage areas

  • Strong communication and teamwork
