Overview

Denver HR Supervisor Job Summary:
Supervises the day-to-day administration of human resources functions, record-keeping, and special projects in a non-union environment. Ensures compliance with GSF, federal, state, and local labor laws and policies. Supervises one HR Representative to support these functions effectively. Oversees payroll processing and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides information and counseling to employees, including new employee orientation, benefits counseling, drug/alcohol testing, sexual harassment policies, company policies, payroll, etc. Posts federal and state rules and regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, etc.).
  2. Supervises and coordinates the administration of human resources functions, including supervision of HR Representative. (15%)
  3. Directs the maintenance of human resources materials, including personnel files, new hire forms, manuals, and other documents to ensure that files are current, confidential, complete, and in compliance with company and government regulations and deadlines. (15%)
  4. Disseminates human resources policies, procedures, and programs to ensure that all employees are well informed and work in compliance with policies and regulations. (5%)
  5. Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding the implementation of human resources policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and fair human resources practices. (5%)
  1. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring processes align with current and future workforce needs. This includes recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees to achieve required staffing levels, selection of the best qualified candidates and a best-in-class onboarding experience for new employees. (15%)
  2. Consults and partners on employee relations, including investigating employee complaints, harassment or discrimination concerns and makes recommendations on the appropriate course of action in partnership with the key stakeholders, including Corporate Legal. Investigations may be a result of an allegation, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), unfair treatment, sexual harassment, or discrimination claim.
  1. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Provides oversight of human resources programs serving over 150 associates

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university

Experience:
3 to 7 years of experience as an HR Generalist with at least 3 in a leadership/supervisory role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
