We are seeking an energetic, a skilled​ Warehouse Supervisor for expansion openings in our facility in Penn Yan, NY. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

 

Main Functions: Incumbent oversees the warehouse inventory including coordinating interdepartmental deliveries, efficient transfer of inventory to trucks, recording new inventory deliveries, inspecting it and storing it properly. Incumbent is also responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with various tasks including hiring new associates, training, performance evaluations and associate schedules.

 

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday  2nd/3rd Shift

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate KanPak Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak
  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
  • Assists Warehouse Manager with new associates, training, appropriate timely and constructive performance evaluations, associate schedules and supervision of warehouse associates
  • Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse
  • Supervises the transfer of inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule
  • Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse, coordinates transfer of inventory between departments, oversees the receiving and recording of new inventory as it is delivered, inspects it and stores it according to policy
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase efficiency of warehouse practices
  • Monitors expenditures and implements corrective actions if needed
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies
  • Resolves routine equipment issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 Social Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain compliance with KanPak/GSF Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, management systems, and all applicable Environmental, Health, Safety and other regulations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in distribution or manufacturing
  • Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience
  • OSHA-10 training certification must be completed within 30 days of employment

Competencies/Job Skills: 

  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, anticipate and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

The anticipated compensation range is $70,000-$75,000.
