Overview

The GSFF Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued. This role involves developing strategies to enhance donor satisfaction, managing communication and engagement activities, and coordinating events to acknowledge and celebrate donor support. The salary range for this role is $80k - $85k, based on experience. 

Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining the donor database, recording donations, and ensuring compliance with GSF Foundation policies.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of donation acknowledgments and receipts.
  3. Track and analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities for increased engagement.
  4. Oversee all donor recognition programs.
  5. Coordinate and manage donor appreciation events, such as receptions, tours, and special functions.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for donors, addressing inquiries and providing support.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to enhance donor relationships and increase donor retention.
  8. Create personalized communication and recognition plans for major donors and key supporters.
  9. Planning and logistics for fundraising and donor cultivation events.
  10. Develop and manage content for donor communications, including newsletters, reports, and updates.
  11. Share success stories and impact reports with donors to demonstrate the outcomes of their support.
  12. Prepare regular reports on donor activity and program effectiveness for internal stakeholders.
  13. Work with senior management to develop and implement donor relations strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
  14. Providing administrative support for appeals, including the annual employee fundraising campaign and vendor/supplier campaign.
  15. Other duties as assigned to further the mission of the Foundation.

 

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

 

Experience:          

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience at a nonprofit. Fundraising and donor management experience preferred.
