JOB SUMMARY:  Receives, selects, stores, and loads products and/or materials.  Safely operates all material handling equipment.  Accurately completes all associated paperwork.  Maintains clean work area consistent with company standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Inspects incoming and outgoing product.
  2. Reads labels and associated documents printed in English.
  3. Counts and calculates using basic math skills.
  4. Lifts, carries and stacks product up to 75 pounds at a height of up to 7 feet.
  5. Maintains high focus in an environment of many obstacles and distractions.
  6. Uses push/pull motions in building pallets up to 8 feet high.
  7. Operates electric forklift and electric, stand-up rider pallet jack.
  8. Maintains productivity and accuracy according to engineered work standards.
  9. Cleans work area using a mop, broom, or electric sweeper vac.
  10. Due to the nature of our 24-hour business, work schedules vary.
  11. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent

Forklift certification required within 30 days of employment

 

Experience:

Entry Level . . . OR . . . Previous experience in a fast-paced, food-grade warehouse, safely operating material handling equipment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Endure working in both non temperature-controlled and temperature-controlled environments (chill @ 35 degrees, freezer @ -05 degrees)
  • Perform accurate, visual inspections
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
