Overview

JOB SUMMARY:  Coordinates, manages, and owns inventory integrity for center to ensure that QCD objectives for customer satisfaction are met.

  • 8AM start time
  • Monday-Friday
  • $55,000-$60,000/Year

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Takes physical inventory using a handheld computer. (50%).
  2. Investigates inventory variances to determine root cause. Completes credit requests for hidden damage.  Report variances and root cause analysis to warehouse manager. (40%).
  3. Gathers, reviews, and disseminates new product information and product changes to internal departments to ensure accurate product information. (10%)
  4. Conducts monthly “salvage sale” of distressed product to CFA customers.
  5. Working in JDA/Blue Yonder system to set up slotting locations and adjust inventory.
  6. Performs other related or assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

 

AA degree in materials/logistics management, business math, business administration or communications from an accredited vocational, technical, or community college

 

Experience:

 

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving in an automated environment.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):

 

  • Inventory procedures (J)
  • Inventory levels, dollars, and other relevant measures (J)
  • Promotional item management (J)
  • Computer-based inventory control systems (J)
  • PC word processing/spreadsheet software applications (J)
  • Shipping and receiving (B)
  • General accounting principles and practices (B) 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office/Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of JDE/JDA (Blue Yonder) is a plus
  • Forklift experience is preferred
