Overview

Quality Custom Distribution is now hiring CDL A Delivery Drivers to work at our Roseville Location in Minnesota 

 

QCD Roseville is hosting a walk-in hiring event for CDL A Drivers at Quality Custom Distribution 2501 Walnut ST Suite 400 Roseville MN 55113. (Must have an updated resume on hand to give to the Hiring Manager) 

This hiring event will be every Tuesday, Weds and Thursday.

Times for walk-in interviews as follows 

9AM - 11AM

2PM - 4PM

Key Items and Requirements

  • Must have an updated resume present to the walk-in hiring event
  • This is 100% touch freight delivery 
  • Drivers make anywhere between 15 - 20 stops per day
  • Must be able to do local and Over the Road routes
  • 1 year of recent CDL A Driver experience 
  • Please dress interview appropriate
  •  Must be able to pass a MVR, Clearinghouse, and Background Check

What to expect -

  • 100% touch freight delivery must be able to handle all physical task.
  • Cover all Minnesota, parts of Iowa, S. Dakota, N. Dakota
  • Drivers can make between $1700 - $2200 Weekly.
  • Drivers that do out of town routes can be paid more
  • Schedule: 4-day work week ~8- 14-hour shifts (one weekend day required)
  • Dispatch: Times will vary per concept (1PM, 9PM, and 10PM)
  • Additional workdays per company need
  • Component Pay + Paid Weekly
  • New 48' automatic (reefers)
  • Delivering and down stacking product in-store via dolly or hand truck

 

 

Must be able to -

  • Make deliveries in all weather conditions, Minnesota and surrounding states.
  • Down stack product in-store
  • Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull product up to 75 pounds
  • Work holidays & weekends
  • Work independently (solo routes)
  • Must be able to work in team routes

Responsibilities

Position Summary (Job Description):

 

 Performs daily transportation functions as directed by Supervisor. Operates diesel-powered tractor-trailer

 combination trucks to transport and deliver products.  Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge

 of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations, such as narrow

 passageways.  Inspects trucks for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck conditions.

 Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations and other federal and company required records/logs.

 May be required to perform product backhaul when returning from dispatched route.  Unloads/loads

 product at store with assistance from store personnel.

30     Drives to predetermined store locations per route schedule, applying knowledge of commercial

          driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle.

 

 5      Maintains driver log, trip and mileage records according to FMCSA regulations.  Complies with all

          DOT rules and regulations regarding hours of service, licensing, safety and equipment operation.

 

 2      Maintain company quality and performance standards.

 

 1      Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor.

 

     Observe company safety rules and regulations.

 

 5      Practice good housekeeping.

 

 5      Positions/check load securing equipment to secure cargo during transit.  Inspects vehicles

          for defects before, during and after trips, submits report indicating equipment condition.

 

 1      Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications Required of this Position:

 

 Must possess a valid driver's license and possess a current DOT Medical certification card.  One (1) year

 driving tractor-trailer experience.  Must be able to effectively communicate to maintain positive customer

 relations climate with other drivers/warehouse personnel/customers/supervisors.  Capable of standing,

 walking and repeatedly climbing into and out of road tractor or switch tractor.  Must be able to work all

 necessary work schedules, including holidays/weekends.  Requires safely operating equipment in extremes

 of weather and climatic conditions and insure working in a cold environment (cooler/freezer).  Must

 be able to frequently lift/handle cases ranging from 5-50 pounds.
