About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success for the hourly workforce throughout the respective division(s). This will be achieved through employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources, building exceptional partnerships with internal customers and external sources, and contributing to the development of innovative and efficient recruiting ideas and procceses.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with all facets of recruiting success including: posting and managing requisitions within an ATS, advertising job openings, reviewing and screening resumes, scheduling interviews and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • Thoroughly understands business operations and goals to ensure the division is continually fully staffed for current and future needs
  • Builds strong partnerships with internal customers (operational leaders, hiring managers, human resources) through continuous and timely communication, accurate reporting and staffing success
  • Administers pre-boarding items including background checks, drug screens, physicals, pre-boarding documents etc. and ensures all items are completed in a timely manner
  • Contributes to building applicant sources by researching and contacting and partnering with community services, colleges, employment agencies, external recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Conducts and coordinates various job fairs and staffing events (virtual and in-person)
  • Determines applicant qualifications by reviewing resumes and job requirements
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; arranging community tours as required.
  • Coordinates evaluations, assessments, and testing for candidates
  • Contributes to a positive candidate experience with follow-up correspondence to candidates on recruiting status via phone and email
  • Contributes to the development and/or enhancement of  recruiting processes by identifying opportunities, proposing creative ideas and implementing solutions
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Responsible for facilitating and aiding recruiting process development and success for salaried roles throughout respective regions and divisions.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

 

Experience:

2 to 4 years in a recruiting role dedicated to high volume, hourly workforce recruiting

 

Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):

  • Full life cycle recruiting (J)
  • High volume, hourly workforce recruiting
  • Regulations with the DOL, EEOC and OFCCP. (B)
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives. (J)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. (J)
  • Proven ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress etc.) (J)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check etc.) (B)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems (B)
  • Strong decision making skills (J)

  • Additional compensation including bonuses and car allowances are subject to eligibility.
  •  The expected range for this position is $60,000–$75,000/ year
