JOB SUMMARY: 

Purchasing Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services that meet the organization’s quality standards and budgetary requirements. This role involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of products. In this role they will analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize purchasing strategies.

SHIFT- 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

 

 

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $40,578 - $45,086

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives:

  • Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak
  • Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth
  • Create PO’s in GP and in IMaint, send POs to vendors, follow up with vendors as needed, audit late PO’s via Smart List.
  • General Ledger coding of Pos in GP
  • Handle capital request write up, capital cash flow, and work with the engineering group to makes sure all information required is completed.
  • Capital Projects: Create folder once CER is approved, keep folder updated with invoices and tally sheet.
  • Handle the close process of capital request.
  • Purchase via credit card and reconciliation against the statement.
  • Ensure that all purchased materials meet regulatory and safety standards specific to the aseptic manufacturing process.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and R&D teams to understand material requirements and specifications, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work with Parts Clerks and Inventory Control Clerk to coordinate and audit monthly parts room counts.
  • Work with AP for new vendor and terms account set up
  • Reconcile monthly wastewater hauls
  • Daily parts usage report for DOR and report weekly numbers to OPS Mgr.
  • Backup for autogenerate/stock parts ordering.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Employment Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Procurement/Purchasing experience 2 years preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience 2 years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding Follow up on actions and commitments.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Demonstrated Time Management and ability to multi-task.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience of Aseptic Operation.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
