Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Strategic procurement leader that directs indirect procurement activities for U.S. Domestic
Manufacturing Operations, ensuring that all products meet GSF’s objectives for price, efficiency, and quality.
Supports International Divisions. Potential managed categories include manufacturing equipment (CAPEX),
equipment parts (MRO/OEM), waste, sanitation, uniforms, office/testing supplies, and facility services.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Manage GSF strategic purchasing activities, including price negotiations (RFP) and contract management to
    ensure competitive pricing and strong supplier relationships. (30%)
  2. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support business needs and ensure continuity of
    supply, supply chain optimization, and identify cost savings opportunities. (20%)
  3. Create a pipeline of savings across portfolio to meet category targets. (10%)
  4. Set up new suppliers for relevant business units. (5%)
  5. Create project charters with associated timelines for change management. (10%)
  6. Evaluate system-wide subcategories for potential spend aggregation and productivity opportunities. (5%)
  7. Forecast market dynamics for cost avoidance. (5%)
  8. Interact formally and informally with vendors to communicate GSF values, mission, and strategic direction
    to enhance supplier relationships and project management. (5%)
  9. Support and perform other assigned duties as necessary for the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) team. (10%)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, supply chain, or economics from
an accredited college or university.


Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing and/or supply chain
management in the food and beverage industry.
