Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Director provides leadership and direction planning and managing material requirements, production scheduling, warehouse and customer service to meet GSF objectives for quality, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

The SCM Director will generate a clear understanding of the Master Demand Plan of the site based on the LPNA S&OP process to produce an effective local supply plan thus ensuring the highest level of service while maximizing efficient use of supply chain resources, site assets and inventories.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages Master Plan and LPNA S&OP demand forecast inputs to drive materials planning and production scheduling ensuring an uninterrupted supply of finished products for domestic and international customers and to maximize efficient operations and production. 
  • Responsible for overseeing sales orders requirements and resulting deliveries and customer service performance from the supply of the site, scope of sales orders, customer concerns, product requirements and tracking of service levels. 
  • Manages and develops the site warehouse operation, this includes setting policies and measures to ensure inventory accuracy, expense management, warehouse efficiencies and P&L management. 
  • Manage and develop the warehouse processes that interact and support the production operations such as batching, kitting and returns while acting as a separate entity to the liquid’s production operation. 
  • Responsible to drive correct use of the D365 ERP planning functions based on recognized supply chain science, to ensure integrity of data with strong focus on MRP planning parameters, review and recommend improvements in the development of informational tools to support operating decisions, materials management, warehousing and accounting. 
  • Audits operational procedures and programs to identify and implement improvements in product availability, storage optimization, receiving and shipping, sanitation, security and inventory accuracy, resulting in increased efficiencies and productivity. 
  • Lead the team in managing Working Capital for raw materials and finished goods to plan, monitor finished goods and raw materials to reduce excess inventory and reduce shortages 
  • Lead the team in minimizing scrap due to expiration and obsolescence of inventories 
  • Generates various inventory reports shared across several cross-functional teams, produce intelligence. 
  • Maintains clear communication with Sales, Product Development, Commercialization, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Operations, and Procurement to ensure the organization’s affective plans. 

Administrative: 

  • Responsible for developing the manufacturing site supply chain strategic direction and goals, ensuring alignment with Plant and LPNA Divisional Strategic objectives 
  • Responsible for monitoring the adequacy of action plans to meet the plants objectives, monitoring performance toward achieving key performance indicators, and ensuring alignment throughout the entire organization. 
  • Manages all assigned staff including training and development, performance evaluations, career development and TPM training. Assists in the recruitment and selection of employees adhering to all company policies and objectives. 
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget for inventory, expenses and capex as appropriate. 
  • Develops and reports KPI metrics 
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

 

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, supply chain, planning or other related majors from an accredited college or university 
  • Supply Chain Certifications as ASCM/CPIM is a relevant plus 

 

Experience:  

  • 7 to 15 years of relevant work and/or supervisory experience in Planning, Scheduling and Logistics in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Food manufacturing environment experience preferred.
