Overview

QCD is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Riverside, Missouri. 

 

This is day shift position (Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-4pm) offers a competitive salary (paid weekly) and requires the ability to work comfortably in cold temperatures.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Warehouse Supervisor must be able to handle all physical duties pertaining to the job
  • Have experience using forklifts 
  • Have the ability to train, coach, and guide associates
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical tasks, to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Lead a team of 27 associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement work schedules and monitor associate activities and equipment usage to meet and exceed established performance objectives.
  • Leverage expertise in warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and distribution center processes.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to effectively track inventory levels and manage workflows.
  • Continuously improve operations through process optimization and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Apply knowledge of logistics principles and practices to ensure efficient and timely product flow.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills to address challenges and maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and operating forklifts and other equipment with proficiency.

Performance

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment.  Schedules and monitors associate activities and equipment use to meet and exceed company objectives.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the warehouse department to ensure that established objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are met or exceeded. (25%)
  1. Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times and makes appropriate changes, ensuring compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations. (25%)
  1. Routinely informs and communicates with associates to ensure compliance with established warehouse productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. (25%)
  1. Monitors and completes numerous computer-based and manual reports and related paperwork, including time records, daily logs, damage reports, etc. (10%)
  1. Monitors product damage and audits routes to ensure reliable product delivery. (5%)
  1. Plans and schedules manpower. (5%)
  1. Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and utilization reports. (5%)
  1. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

 

Supervises of up to 100 hourly associates, depending on size of facility.  Manages projects and assignments with significant impact on customer service.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

AA degree from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution.  Forklift instructor certification.

 

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
