Overview

JOB SUMMARY: Organizes and maintains inventory to support operations.  Shift is 10a-630p or 12p-830p.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Organizes, monitors, and maintains the inventory to ensure smooth operations, including obtaining and selecting the best of three vendor quotes, following up and receiving purchase orders, and maintaining computer-based logs and records. (80%)
  1. Maintains inventory cycle counts on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate and complete records. (10%)
  1. Issues spare parts and maintains spare parts log to ensure accurate and complete records and meet internal customer needs. (10%)
  1. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or equivalency

 

Experience:

3 to 6 years of relevant work experience

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):

  • Inventory concepts and techniques (J)
  • Computer-based inventory control systems (J)
  • Proficient in Excel (B)

 

Skill and ability to:

  • Identify problems or irregularities for early resolution
  • Interact effectively with maintenance team and MRO
  • Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Act in accordance with GSF’s Values and Creed
