Overview

JOB SUMMARY:  Manages all Human Resources functions and activities to ensure that GSF recruits and retains a qualified workforce to meet GSF and customer objectives. Ensures compliance with labor, safety, and company rules and regulations. Reports directly to Sr. HR Manager.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Oversees the implementation, administration, and dissemination of information regarding all Human Resources functions including employment, training, management development, associate programs, workers’ compensation, and benefits for exempt and non-exempt associates, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, Title VII). Escalate high level issues to Sr. HR Manager as needed.  (20%)
  2. Oversees the recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of exempt, non-exempt, and hourly associates to achieve required staffing levels and selection of the best qualified candidates. (20%)
  3. Provides guidance to managers and supervisors regarding implementation of human resources policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and fair human resources practices. Offer guidance on associate counseling issues and escalate prior to termination. (35%)
  4. Administers performance management and appraisal programs to ensure program effectiveness. (5%)
  5. Investigates associate grievances and harassment or discrimination concerns by assessing the situation and making recommendations to Regional HR Manager to ensure a safe and productive work environment. (20%)
  6. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Education and experience equivalent to:

 

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university

 

Experience:

5 to 7 years of relevant work experience
