ABOUT THE JOB

Golden State Foods is in search of a Senior Benefits Specialist who is passionate about administering and maintaining company benefits. This role is crucial for acting as a bridge between associates, vendors, and HR, ensuring that our benefits programs are managed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in HR/Benefits management, demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and uphold a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage and oversee the administration of the company's benefits programs, including 401(k) plan audits, ACA reporting, and the annual enrollment process.
  • Act as a liaison with carriers, benefits consultants, and other external partners to address complex benefits issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and filings related to benefits administration.
  • Supervise the Corporate Benefits Specialist, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Engage with corporate and field HR teams to provide support and guidance on benefits-related inquiries and procedures.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Education, or a related field from an accredited university, and/or 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred certifications: SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CBES).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR/Benefits management, including group medical/dental/vision plan administration and retirement/401(k) program administration.
  • Strong analytical, organization, and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and UKG.
