Overview

The Senior Boomi SOA Developer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of high quality, defect free integration systems and applications on Boomi platform.

Responsibilities

(% of time may vary depending on assignments/projects)

1.       Boomi SOA Projects                                                                                                                                

    • Work closely with customers and partners to gather requirements and design complex business applications and data integration solutions on Boomi platform.
    • Translate business processes and requirements into technical integration requirements.
    • Design, build and implement Boomi Integration solutions involving Rest APIs, EDIs, databases, XML, JSON, Flatfile and other industry standard protocols.
    • Work with variety of SaaS and on-Prem systems to build Integrations e.g. JDE, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, Azure D365, AWS Redshift, Lawson, ELD platforms etc.
    • Provide architecture-level support including Boomi installation, performance tuning, enhanced monitoring, and error handling, building reusable/standardized Boomi integration components.
    • Implement best practices for managing and governing integrations using the Boomi AtomSphere integration platform.

2.       Systems Support

    • Provide on and off hour support for Integration related issues to ERP, warehouse, BI reporting, Corporate applications teams
    • Provide support for EDIs, non-EDIs, trading partner Integrations for Orders, Invoices, Inventory and other Supply chain, Manufacturing, Financials and HR processes  Integrations.
    • Work with business users and internal IT teams to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs.
    • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

3.       Application Administration

    • Establish and maintain security standards and policies to ensure data encryption and overall data protection.
    • Provide insight into future programming trends such as SOA, AI.
    • Develop and provide training and documentation in support of activities associated with Integration development and support.

4.       Technology Project Support

    • Evaluate new technologies in area of specialty and provide input into future systems strategies.
    • Modify existing programs to conform to process standards or make improvements in the existing program.
    • Design & implement test scenarios, cases scripts.

5.       Additional Responsibilities

    • Accountable for properly following all IT standards, processes and methodologies as applicable including but not limited to Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Other responsibilities and accountabilities may be assigned based on business and organization needs.

Qualifications

Technical

 

Expert

  • Proven ability to design and optimize application and data integration processes across disparate systems
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, iPass, application and data integration patterns including ESB, MOM, JMS, SOAP/REST web services, databases, ETL, EDI
  • Practical experience implementing service oriented architecture (SOA) design and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, JSON, web services, and HTTP, Boomi preferred
  • Experience with Cloud and Software-as-a-Service paradigm and enabling technologies
  • General knowledge of common business systems (CRM, SFA, ERP) and processes (lead to cash, requisitions, order management, etc.)
  • General knowledge of key application infrastructure components such as VMware, storage (NAS, SAN, SMB), Java JVM, networking (firewall, load balancing, proxies)



Proficient

  • Significant experience of cooperation with external customers.
  • Experience working with Supply chain, Manufacturing processes in Logistics industry preferred
  • Familiarity with Boomi AtomSphere or other visual-based integration middleware platforms
  • Database skills including SQL, data modeling, and databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, Redshift, Oracle)
  • Messaging skills including JMS (e.g. ActiveMQ, MQSeries, OracleAQ), Boomi Atom queue
  • Development/scripting skills with Java, Groovy, JavaScript

* The expected range for this position is $110,000–$140,000/ year, plus bonus and auto allowance.
